Basic introduction of Brewery
Since 1990, MANZAIRAKU has been brewing this UMESYU, which combines a dense plum aroma, richness, and a clear palate.
Using only the Benisashi plum, rich in amino acids and minerals, grown in the Hokuriku region, we employ traditional, rustic methods from cultivation to bottling.
We age the plum wine for approximately two years until the balance of flavors is perfected, utilizing the favorable environment of the Hokuriku region for every step from cultivation to bottling, resulting in a high-quality plum wine with a harmonious balance of fragrance and taste.
Geographic location
The brewery is located in Hakusan City, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, near the foot of Mt. Hakusan is one of the spiritual peaks of Japan, and its natural surroundings provide a high quality water source for brewing.
Brewing Water
The brewery utilizes the fushigashiki water of the Tetsukawa River system in the Hakusan Mountains for brewing. This water source is pure and rich in minerals, providing a good base for the brewing of plum wine.
Product Characteristics
Main Products: Kaga Plum Wine is one of the brewery's signature products and has been brewed since 1990. This plum wine is brewed with Benisashi Ume (red enameled plum), a specialty of the Hokuriku region, which is rich in amino acids and minerals and has a more flavorful taste than ordinary plums.
