Shiwa Sake Brewery is a small sake brewery located in Shiwa-cho, Shiwa-gun, Iwate Prefecture, known as the "birthplace of Nanbu Touji". It was founded in 1903. Kiheiji Hirota, the founder, took over a sake brewery that was well known in the area at the time, and has continued to brew sake to this day. Kiheiji Hirota I took over the brewery, which at the time had a good reputation in the area, and has continued to brew sake to this day. Currently, we are pursuing the theme of "umami of rice" under the leadership of Mr. Ono, the first female Nanbu Touji, and have switched all Hiroki brand sake to "Sanki Amazakimoto" since 2017. As we enter the fifth year of this new challenge, the brewery is working hard together to further refine our brewing techniques and get closer to the essence of "rice flavor".
