About This Sake

Black Label is the most produced of the Abe series. Using Niigata yeast, it expresses the flavor of rice without polishing the rice too much. The acidity, typical of Abe Shuzo, also coexists well. *Precautions regarding sales Cautions when opening the bottle This product has a tendency to pop when the bottle is opened due to gas pressure. When opening the bottle, please be careful not to get injured by the stopper. Also, please note that sake may be spurted out when the bottle is opened. About The Brewery

We are a sake brewery in Kashiwazaki City, Niigata Prefecture that has been in business since 1804. What is important in sake brewing is to "enjoy fermentation. With intellectual curiosity at the core, we aim to create what we want to create while enjoying it, sparing no time or effort. We also aim to create "overwhelmingly delicious" products. We have shifted our ingredients from 100% Niigata Prefecture rice to mainly the Kashiwazaki and Kariwa areas where our brewery is located. Our dream is to challenge Japan and the world with sake made with rice and water from Niigata Prefecture, and to make Kashiwazaki the pride of our hometown. We are also working with contract farmers to make Kashiwazaki a sake rice production area.
