Highly recommended.****Paired with a carbonara, this wine has pum on the nose with a hint of black licorice and vanilla. Medium tannins, bold smooth body.****Very dark, violet color. Nose not so intensive, but the taste is a typical Southern Italy fruit-bomb, full of forrest fruits. 'Papale' means 'Pope wine' and it's really excellent, complex, full-bodied.**
