Doppio Passo Primitivo 2024    The wine is made from 100% Primitivo grapes, which are harvested at two different times, at maturity and at a later time. Once in the cellar, the grapes are vinified in steel vats at a controlled temperature. Subsequently it refines for a few months on the fine lees before being bottled. Intense ruby red color, the nose reveals aromas of ripe red and black fruit, blackberry and cherry. The sip is structured and balanced, with soft tannins and a very pleasant persistence. Primitivo Doppio Passo pairs very well with grilled white and red meats, roast pork, stewed game and aged cheeses.       PUGLIA IGT Primitivo is the signature wine of Doppio Passo and it has contributed to make it the number. 1 Italian wine brand in Europe. The wine is soft, silky, and exceptionally full-bodied with seducing aromas of blackberries, cherries and forest fruits.       INSPIRATION Being Italian means a lot more than simply belonging to a nation. It is a way of thinking, living, eating, creating, drinking: it is about living well and celebrating all aspects of life, appreciating the beauty of things that surround us. And that is what Doppio Passo is all about: the simple pleasures of life that tastes even better when enjoyed together.   VINIFICATION Primitivo grapes benefit from warm climate with plenty of rain as well as long hours of sunshine and soil that contains limestone, clay or sandstone. All of which combined give the grapes strong aromas and appealing structure. The grapes are harvested at two different times: one part when full ripeness is reached, the other as a later harvest. When this two components are blended, the result is a soft, round and exceptionally full-bodied wine with aromas of blackberries, cherries and forest fruits.   REGION Apulia enjoys a warm and temperate climate, with significant rainfall all year round. During the summer the African winds cause rapid and marked rise of the thermometer and high temperature variation.

Vigneti del Salento ZOLLA Primitivo 2021 Ruby red color with violet dark hints. Intense, complex, fruity aroma, with notes of small red fruits (cherries and blackberries). Velvety texture, soft, warm and quite tannic, with great taste-olfactory persistence. Excellent with robust pasta dishes and lamb, excellent with game with rich sauces, seasoned cheeses. VINEYARDS Our grapes are located between Sava and Manduria, in the heart of the production area of Primitivo di Manduria. The warmth of the sun and the proximity to the lonian Sea are the most important factors for the production of Primitivo. This land gives life to the typical bush vines, "albarello" of over 30 years old which give to the wine a unique aromatic characteristic. VINIFICATION De-stemming and crushing of the grapes, maceration at a controlled temperature for 8-10 days with regular pumping overs. Draining off and malo-lactic fermentation in stainless-steel tanks. Refining in used American and French oak barriques for the next 6-8 months. Ronchedone Red wine In the area where the first morainic hills rise, red wines of considerable depth and power are also obtained and Ronchedone is the absolute demonstration of this. Highly desired from the moment it was felt that some areas and some microclimates were suitable for obtaining a wine like this. Marzemino, Sangiovese and 10% Cabernet make it a wine that cannot go unnoticed. On the nose it is very rich with notes of red fruits, macerated blueberries, balsamic and jammy hints. On the palate it is powerful and incisive, clean, savoury, with a nice acidity sign of the Benacus soil. Ideal paired with red meats with medium and long cooking preparations, game, mature cheeses, rich pasta and soups. Serve at a temperature of 14° - 16° C.
