Nikka Whisky From the Barrel is one of Japan's most iconic blended whiskies, crafted by Nikka Whisky and bottled at a robust 51% ABV. This expression is a meticulous blend of over 100 different batches of malt and grain whiskies, sourced primarily from Nikka's Miyagikyo and Yoichi distilleries, along with signature Coffey grain whiskies.

After blending, the whisky undergoes an "Extra Marriage" period in casks, allowing the flavours to fully integrate before being bottled without chill-filtration. The iconic small square bottle — known as "A Small Block" — visually reflects the whisky's concentrated, full-bodied character.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Fine and complex — floral (lilac), fruity (apricot), with hints of spice (clove) and leather.

Palate: Powerful and firm — spicy (pepper), woody (oak), evolving into ripe fruit (peach), caramelised apple and honeysuckle.

Finish: Long and lingering — marine notes with ripe fruits (plum, peach) on a woody-vanilla background.
