Houhai Tokubetsu Junmai Nigori Nama Sake Snow Japanese Sake 16% 720ml 豊盃 特別純米 にごり 生酒 三浦酒造

The rice used for making this sake is “Toyobai-mai,” a high-quality sake rice grown under contract with local farmers, for the koji rice, and “Hanabukiyuki,” a representative Aomori Prefecture rice suitable for sake brewing, for the premium rice, which is carefully polished and polished in-house. The sake is then fermented in the bottle with plenty of tailings to seal in the carbon dioxide gas.

It is brewed with plenty of tailings to express the image of snow dancing in the sky of Hirosaki, a land of bitter cold, to create a richly flavored nigori sake. In the coming season, it is a perfect match with hot nabe (hot pot) and other dishes. Please enjoy it together with everyone.

The origin of the name is “Houhai-mai”. It’s kind of rice for brewing .

It is a brewer’s rice which is suitable for Japanese sake growing in this area, developed by Aomori Prefecture Agricultural Experiment Institution in 1976 (51 of the Showa period).

The origin of the name “Hou-Hai” means rich sake. And it came from a song that Mr.Tamenobu, a Tsugaru clan ancestor, sang to inspire his soldiers to fight at the battle.

It is also a famous folk song “Ho-Hai-Bushi” at Tsugaru now.

Influenced by the humor of “Hou-Hai-Bushi” and his victory, the sake was named “Houhai” whose sounds are the same as “Hou-Hai”.

We are the only brewery that brews sake from “Houhai-mai”.

It is my fate that we named it, so we would like to cherish it.

Our brewery uses “Houhai-mai” ,”Hanafubuki” ,and “Hanaomoi” that are harvested by neighboring farmers with the best of care. Those are 80% of the whole.

The rest is “Yamadanishiki” and “Yamadaho” from Nishiwaki-shi, Hyogo Prefecture and “Kamenoo” and “Misatonishiki” from Ogata village, Akita prefecture.

Regarding water used in sake breweries, which is very important for sake brewing, all of which is taken from the underflow water of Mt.Iwaki that is just behind our brewery.

Thankfully, the fresh water gushes out from wells at our brewery.
